Blankets for Buddies

Every shelter dog and cat deserves something soft between them and the floor. We collect gently used and new blankets from neighbors like you and deliver them straight to local animal shelters.

Why blankets

Shelters go through bedding fast — it gets washed daily, worn out, or isn’t enough to go around. A clean, warm blanket helps an anxious animal feel safer while they wait for a home. Blankets for Buddies started with one simple question: what if kids in our community collected the blankets shelters always need?

We’re currently partnering with:

Blankets for Buddies does not accept money. All monetary gifts go directly to the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s official donation page — a registered 501(c)(3) — so gifts are tax-deductible and 100% goes to animal care.
